Across the federation we use ‘Purple Mash’ to support the children’s learning in variety of areas. As part of this programme there are English and Mathematics games which you can use at home to support your child’s learning, particularly in areas such as spelling and calculation.
This programme can be used as part of home learning and we suggest that children spend a minimum of half an hour each week on both the spelling and maths resources. This will replace the use of My Maths for infant aged children following feedback from parents and can still be used by junior aged children as an additional resource.
The children already use this programme at school regularly, so they should be comfortable using it at home.
Infant aged children’s log in details for ‘Purple Mash’ are attached to this letter for you to access at home. Junior aged children can continue to use their current log ins which are in their reading records. You can use Purple Mash on a desktop computer, laptop or tablet.
You will need to follow the link at the bottom and then enter the site using the details provided with this letter.
The children can use any of these games and they will all help to develop their mathematical ability.
We hope that your child enjoys accessing ‘Purple Mash’ at home, and that it will support their English and Maths learning effectively.
