Information on Norfolk’s Local Offer on SEND for Early Years, pre-school, nursery and childminding:
Many families with children with disabilities will not require specialist early years provision because they will be sufficiently supported using universal services – these are services which are used by all children and families.
Access to good-quality early learning and childcare helps children to learn, develop and play alongside other children. Choosing the right childcare for your child early in their life can mean they have the right level of support to help them reach their potential throughout their childhood and beyond.
Once you have decided what type of childcare is right for you, you can search this link below to see what’s available in your area or ring the family information service on 0344 800 8020. The Norfolk childcare directory is a list of childcare providers including pre-schools, day nurseries and childminders. Everyone on the list is registered with the Norfolk Family Information Service.

New SEND Local Offer newsletter for parents/carers who have a child with SEND
Norfolk County Council produce an SEND Local Offer electronic newsletter and send this out to education settings at the beginning of every half term.
This newsletter will aim to promote the SEND Local Offer to all parents/carers who have a child with SEND; as well as raising awareness of the site, it will encourage families to see the SEND Local Offer as the first place to go when parents are looking for information about SEND provision and support in Norfolk.
